The Certified Sake Sommelier course is designed for those who want to take their sake knowledge to the next level. Whether you're already working in the hospitality industry or simply passionate about sake, this immersive 2-day course gives you the tools to work professionally with sake and confidently educate others.
Created by the Sake Sommelier Association (SSA), the CSS course dives deeper into sake production, service, and tasting. You’ll explore advanced topics such as umami science, food pairing principles, and how to select, present, and serve sake across a range of settings.
Upon completion, Certified Sake Sommeliers are eligible to participate as judges in international Sake Challenge competitions and may qualify for the prestigious Sake Sommelier of the Year award.

Course Details
Location: Jijisake, Asakusa, Tokyo
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (both days)
Exam: 45-minute written test + blind tasting (held one week later)
Standard Price: ¥95,000 (+10% tax)
Includes sake, study materials, certificate, and lapel pin
